These Photographs of the \"model\" concentration camp, Terezin, near the Czech city of Prague, were taken in the Spring of 2006.
Now, there is a small museum commemorating the tragedy that filled this camp during the years of the second World War. No amount of cleaning out can erase the horror of human beings, my people and all people, being incarcerated and brutalized because of their perceived difference, for their very existence.
The empty whitewashed rooms, the quality of light, the silence cannot cover the despair.
The scars on the walls are the scars on our hearts.
I am left without words. These images are my illuminations of grief, a mere shadow of that nightmare.
